Note:
Access to the Knowledgebase depends on your plan. Some plans do not include the AI Tools, and an upgrade may be needed to use this feature.
Before you start
You must be signed in with permissions to edit the Knowledge Base.
Have your business information ready: business name, website URL, short product/service summary, and contact name/personality notes.
If you want the system to crawl your website, make sure your site is publicly accessible and uses HTTPS.
Step-by-step Guide
1. Open the Knowledge Base
2. Create or update your Business Profile
In the Knowledge Base, locate the Business Profile section.
Fill out the required fields:
Business Name — the official name of the business.
Website — enter the full URL. Important: the field requires the
https://prefix (e.g.,https://example.com).What you sell / who it helps / benefit — a short, concise description of the product or service and who it serves. Shorter, clearer descriptions work best.
Contact name & personality — a brief note about the preferred tone/personality for the AI agent (example: "Friendly, concise, professional").
Tip: Keep the copy short and focused — the AI agent performs better with concise inputs.
3. Add your website as a data source and start crawling
Under Data Sources, click Add Website (or the equivalent button).
Enter your root domain. The crawler accepts the root domain; including
wwwis optional as long as the URL is valid.Choose Crawl to start the website crawl.
The system will index pages from your site, wait until the crawl completes.
The UI will display progress and the number of pages crawled (e.g., "8 pages crawled").
4. Select which pages to include as knowledge sources
After the crawl completes, the Knowledge Base will list crawled pages.
Select the pages you want the AI agent to reference — for example: Home, Services, Getting Started, Consulting, etc.
Confirm your selections.
5. Submit and confirm successful storage
Click Submit (or Save) to store your business profile and selected data sources.
You should see a success message, such as: “Website links successfully stored.”
6. Access help if you get stuck
If you need assistance, open the support panel on the left-hand side of the screen.
Use Ask a question or Search for help to contact our support team.
Reminder: Our support team is available to help through every step
Troubleshooting
Crawl failed or zero pages crawled: Ensure the site is accessible over HTTPS and not blocked by robots.txt. Confirm the domain you entered is correct.
Pages missing from the crawl: Re-run the crawl or add the specific page URL to Data Sources manually.
Agent not using updated content: Re-crawl and re-submit the updated data sources so the agent indexes the newest content.
Best practices
Use short, clear descriptions for business profile fields.
Only include pages the AI should reference (avoid internal or admin pages).
Re-crawl after major site updates.
FAQ
Q: Do I have to include https:// in the website field?
A: Yes — the field requires https:// in the URL to validate the website.
Q: Can I add multiple data sources?
A: Yes — you may add multiple sources (website pages or other approved data sources) and choose which pages the agent references.
Q: How long does a crawl take?
A: Crawl time depends on site size. The UI shows progress and the number of pages crawled; wait for completion before selecting pages.
