Overview
If you're using HighLevel and would like to create a payment cancellation in your workflows, please follow the steps below or watch the quick video on how to do it. Following the steps outlined below, you will learn how to trigger a cancellation process automatically when a payment fails.
π‘ Pro Tip
When creating an auto-cancel subscription workflow, make sure it's separate from the workflow that creates a license and grants access to your client. This separation helps you troubleshoot issues more easily.
Step 1: Choose the Payment Received Trigger
Even though it's a cancellation, it's still considered a payment transaction. So, to start, choose the payment received trigger.
Step 2: Set Your Filters
Next, set your filters to ensure the cancellation is triggered correctly. The payment status should be set to "failed," and the source should be a specific funnel or website.
Step 3: Set the Transaction Type
The transaction type should be "customer not present," as this is a subscription transaction.
Step 4: Set the Payment Status
The payment status should be set to "failed" to trigger the webhook for cancellation.
Step 5: Fire the Webhook
You must fire the webhook from your cancellation system to cancel the subscription account for your client.
To do this:
Go to packages and subscriptions, and copy the cancellation webhook.
Then, paste it into the designated area and add the email of the contact you want to cancel the program for.
And that's it! Following these steps, you can easily create a payment cancellation in HighLevel for your workflows. If you have any further questions, please contact our support team for assistance.
